The Leaving of Liverpool
Hullabaloo was a half-hour British ABC-TV folk and R&B showcase from the Midlands that ran from 1963 to 1964. The now-forgotten series was broadcast late night Saturdays to the north of England only and featured British and American folk and blues artists. Here, the host, Rory McEwen, joins with folk singers Martin Carthy, Paul McNeil and Bob Davenport on the song "The Leaving of Liverpool" which was written sometime during the California Goldrush.
